Saul Schniderman, Chair


Saul is a founding member of the Labor Heritage Foundation and he attended the Labor Lore and Song Conference at the Meany Center for Labor Studies in 1979, the predecessor to the Great Labor Arts Exchange. From 1982 to 1988 he edited Talkin’ Union, a magazine of music, lore and history.  In 2000 he led the efforts to place a historical marker at the site of Mother Jones’ death in Adelphi, Maryland. He is the founder of the Inventory of American Labor Landmarks, an LHF project.   From 1998 to 2018 Saul served as president of the Library of Congress Professional Guild, AFSCME Local 2910.  He currently edits Friday’s Labor Folklore, an on-line newsletter.


Ashley See, President


Offering over a decade of experience in digital media communications, grievance and administrative assistance within the labor movement. Specific expertise in the grievance-arbitration process. Broad-based experience covering a full spectrum of digital communications marketing, digital strategy and administrative duties including website management, social media content and analytics, office management, account management, database administration, document preparation, calendar/schedule management, travel/meeting coordination and project/program support. Superior talent in the interpretation and articulation of collective bargaining agreements, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority assignments and develop solutions to challenging and complex disputes.

Kimmon Williams, Secretary


Senior communications professional with over 15 years of experience working with and for non-profits, government, corporations, and associations. Skilled at translating complex technical information into clear messages and stories for written, verbal, and graphic media. Committed to building and fostering professional relationships that amplify messages, build solidarity, and bring a variety of identities to the table. I am a thoughtful and personable strategist driven to craft the best messages for each audience - and I recognize sometimes a bold approach is required.

Elise Bryant, Fundraising Chair


Elise Bryant is the founding director of the DC Labor Chorus. Award winning playwright and social justice activist, Elise got her start in the labor movement as a member of the Wobblies (Industrial Workers of the World). Elise is also a labor educator and taught at the University of Michigan Labor Studies Center and the National Labor College. She received a Masters of Science in Organization Development degree from American University and was given the Lifetime Achievement award from United Association of Labor Educators the same year.  In 2017 she was elected Vice President of CWA/Newspaper Guild Local 32035 and President of the Coalition of Labor Union Women (CLUW). She served her local for 4 years as Vice President and was re-elected as the president of CLUW in 2021. In 2023, Elise retired from her position as executive director of the LHF and joined the board as our fundraising chair.
