About this event

Gabriel Brumberg (University of Chicago '26) will present this solo performance — part play, part concert, and part lecture — tracing the history of American folk protest music from the turn of the 20th century through the 1960s. The piece explores how music serves as activism and the relationship between art and violence, a project that received special honors as Gabriel’s thesis at the University of Chicago.
