The chair of California legislature Robert Rivas tabled a hearing and discussion on the Single Payer bill introduced with the support of NNU CNA in April. This attack by the Democrats on even having a discussion about single payer is part of a long history of how the insurance, hospital and pharmacy industry have controlled both the State government and national government.
This organizing conference will include presentations on the campaign for single payer in unions throughout the state and the struggle of healthcare workers and the people of the state to build a movement to overcome the control of California politicians and the billionaire control of our healthcare system.
