The Choral Convergence features: Brooklyn Women’s Chorus, Charm City Labor Chorus, DC Labor Chorus, Left Coast Labor Chorus, New York City Labor Chorus, Rockin’ Solidarity Chorus, Seattle Labor Chorus, Solidarity Singers fo the NJ Industrial Union Council, and the Twin Cities Labor Chorus.
Our Joe Hill Award honorees this year are Janet Stecher, director of the Seattle Labor Chorus, and Bev Grant, director of the Brooklyn Women’s Chorus.
Workshops include:”Beautiful Trouble: Strategic Creative Activism”, “Healing Solidarity in the Trump Era”, “Resist: New Songs and Chants for Today”, and”The Sung and Unsung: mutimedia presentation chronicling the history of the Canadian women”.
Thursday June 22, 2017 at 2 pm until Saturday June 24, 2017 at 11 pm
Saturday June 24 at 8 pm there will be a concert open to the public where Arts Exchange participants will perform.
It all happens at the ATU Tommy Douglas Conference Center (formerly the National Labor College), 10000 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20903.
