  • Oh, you can’t scare me, I’m sticking to the union

    The Rose Bowl parade this year featured the high school marching band from Pulaski, Wisconsin, as the game was Wisconsin v. Oregon. In front of the stands where Gov. Scott Walker was sitting, the band stopped to play a familiar tune – Union Maid.

    An inspirational example of young musicians standing in solidarity with workers issues. They delivered the message to Walker that, quoting the Union Maid’s chorus, “You can’t scare me I’m stickin’ to the the union!”

    Sharis (guitar and vocal, click here for website) is a singer-songwriter from Northern California who has lived in New Jersey for the last seven years. She performs regularly both solo and in projects including ‘Gypsonica’ and ‘Union Dues.’ Sharis is available to perform alone and with Rebecca at events and clubs.
    Rebecca Copeland is a singer-songwriter who lives in Los Angeles and New Jersey. She is currently performing and recording a CD on the east coast.
