    Posted October 30, 2017 at 10:49 am

Come join the DC Labor Chorus for their annual Evening of Favorite and Sacred Songs Concert to be held Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. at the Tommy Douglas Conference Center Ballroom at 10000 New Hampshire Avenue in Silver Spring, MD.  The performance is free and open to the public.  Donations are gratefully accepted.

The DC Labor Chorus, directed by Elise Bryant and accompanied by Steve Jones on piano, is almost 20 years old.  The repertoire includes songs of labor, peace, and justice.

The DC Labor Chorus aims to build the labor movement, raise awareness of social injustice and be an agent of change through music.  They perform at concerts, rallies, demonstrations, and picket lines.  They are always looking for new members.

“ We sing for solidarity, we sing for justice and we sing for joy.”
